Note: If you are just visiting my site for the first time, I intuitively pick decks and cards (the amount of decks & cards can vary for each reading).
Below is the breakdown of each card, but to give a brief synopsis around the energy of this reading & our week, I offer the following thoughts:
- Energy is continually changing, yet we often have fixed points of being we want to attain.
- If we can lessen our attachment to those fixed targets, we can better acclimate to and appreciate the continual flow of changes that are happening in and around us.
- We can get engulfed by trying to struggle against the tides of change or we can relax and flow with them.
- Going with the flow takes courage, trust and lessening one's desire to orchestrate an outcome in a particular way.
Now on to this week's Oracle update! <3
The first two cards (image #1 & 2) were pulled from Don Miguel Ruiz' "The Voice of Knowledge" (a 48-card deck).
Card #1 - Front: "I create an image for every secondary character in my story." Back: "The only thing I know about the secondary characters is the story I create about them. The truth is that I don't know anyone, and nobody knows me either.
Card #2 - Front: "Respect is one of the greatest expressions of love." Back: "If other people try to write your story, it means they don't respect you. They consider that you're not a good artist who can write your own story, even though you were born to write your own story."
These cards show up in our reading today to remind us that we create the stories around the people in our lives...as they do of us. Notice the mask on the front of Card #1. This is a powerful reminder of the masks we or others wear at times. We may think we know another (what is a mask and what is not), but ultimately, we really don't know because we are not the other person. Card #1 invites us to lessen our idea that we know others (which will affect the actions we take based on that knowingness).
The 2nd card helps us be more aware of our boundaries (our own and others). How are you writing the script for others? Are you trying to feed them that script? Are you getting upset if they don't live by the script you have for them? Are others putting their ideas onto you? Is that affecting how you act and the choices you make? In what areas are you living a story that does not reflect how you currently want to be?
Card #3 - Fertility & Creativity: III. Flexibility within Structure ("Women's Bodies, Women's Wisdom Oracle Cards, by Christiane Northrup, M.D.)
"Allow other people, places and events to help structure your creations." (p.13 of the guide book).
This may seem contradictory to Card #2, but this card has the energy of co-creation / collaboration / openness and flexibility...to lessen your control of your own vision of what you'd like to see happen with your own creations. To be open to contemplate other people's ideas and offer of support (people, angels, etc.)...
If you feel stiffness in your neck and shoulders this week, I invite you to look at where you are resisting / holding onto your own ideas.
Physically stretching and moving your body could help release the stuck energy around control at this time.
Card #4 - Discovery: Pink from Pinkton "I am more than I think I am"
This card signals the changing energies surrounding us right now. Our heart is calling us closer to our heart's goals / true desires...Do we answer the call? Do we commit to ourselves to take the steps our heart guides us to take even if it means leaving others behind / going into unfamiliar territory, taking inspired action we don't understand where it will lead / etc.?
Card #5 - Creation: She Shaman "I will guide you to your muse"
This card shows us a way to gain clarity/insight around Card #4. It's a call to get in touch with your creative side, be it through art, writing, music, movement, play...as a way to access the divine feminine / creativity / inspired action.
Meditation (associated with this card):
"Open a notebook to a clean page. Close your eyes and imagine She Shaman standing in the mist, holding out her hand. Follow her into the mist. As you walk she motions to sit. Ask for her guidance. Pick up your notebook and write. Simply write whatever comes. Do not censor or judge the words. They may mean nothing right now, but they will. Thank She Shaman for her visit." (p. 79 of the guide book).
In summary, this spread is inviting us to look at our current scripts (our own and the ones we have of others in our life)...to see where we may be stuck in a story that no longer suits us, where we may be crossing boundaries or making assumptions in our interactions with others (and vice versa). It is inviting us to recognize and release those old scripts and start writing new ones for ourselves, or answer the call of a newer story you already created for yourself by taking physical steps towards achieving it now...
I wish you all the best! Xox
