This week's oracle reading is all about reflection, insight and epiphanies! I 'found' this deck, as I was rummaging around my book collection, I can't believe I forgot I had these! Aren't the images just beautiful? There is such depth of meaning in each card...lots of symbolism to spark your intuitive messages.
This is a balanced, inward reflecting spread. You'll notice the direction for each card at the bottom of the description sides. Our first card is from the West, which represents our adolescent selves, where our emotions reside (think rites of passage, death - rebirth, transformation). The 2nd card is North facing, where our adult self lives, a place within of strength, wisdom, spirit and prayer. The final card is an East card, a place of illumination, creativity of the mind, mental powers...where our grandparent or old wise one lives within us. Also in the East is the sacred clown, the one within who challenges our existing belief structures to test if they are still valid. (South is where our inner child resides, it represents a place of trust and innocence, as well as physicality). Things this week will become clear, we will find the spiritual truths and wisdom to be gained from emotional situations we've been facing.
Based on this spread, I encourage you this week to set aside time to reflect on things weighing on your heart...not for the purpose of figuring out how to solve / fix / make happen...rather, to get in tune on where things stand right now and then send it all out to the "Universe" or the "God of your own heart" as a way of letting go. Then, see what insights arise for you throughout the week.
You will find this is a good period where:
a.) You can connect the dots between what you desire and what might be holding you back
b.) Find the deeper meaning / see the lesson in the conflicts you've been having, with others or within yourself
c.) You will have certainty with any inspired action or next steps that come into your awareness
We often remark upon the stillness and majesty of mountains and trees. You can 'match' that energy if you have trouble being still and going to a place of quietude within, by spending some time in nature, gazing at a photo of Mount Shasta, the Grand Canyon (etc.), sitting with a crystal. As you connect with your surroundings, that photo, or the crystal in your hand...breathe from your diaphragm, you'll find your mind quieting, and just observe whatever surfaces. It could be emotions, words, ideas, sensory feelings, a song, images, a memory...Deep truths will surface from them. It is a very good period to spend some time with yourself in this quiet way. It doesn't have to be in long periods, either. Just where and when you can, for as long as you comfortably can. You will reap greatly from doing so.
P.S. You may get great advice from others this week. Use that information to check back in with yourself (your wise self, sacred clown) to see if it's aligned with your inner Truth, before taking any action from it...That goes for this blog post as well! :)
