You know how you feel inspired to get something, but then you don't look at or use it right away? That's the case with this book... I came across it years ago at a Half Priced Book Store, and just 'knew' I had to have a copy...so bought it...and then promptly forgot about it.
Until last week -- my eyes settled on it, and I was inspired to read it.
Wow...am I so glad I did!!! I found this book to be so extremely helpful and transformative, I wanted to write a quick blogpost about it to spread the word.
Below is a table extracted from the book that gives the positive/negative archetype associated with each chakra along with the main emotional issue found there. (I included the physical location of the Chakra for convenience).
The two pages below that provide a summary for each emotional challenge by chakra in more depth.
The book has a chapter dedicated for each chakra, and includes powerful reflection questions and meditations to work through so you can transform any wounded archetype energy into it's more empowered counterpart. She has some client examples which are very helpful as well.
Hope you have a chance to check out "Chakras and Their Archetypes", by Ambika Wauters at some point! Would love to hear how the book impacted you in the comments below... <3
One of the overarching themes that kept recurring for me as I went through chakra by chakra, was the following affirmation:
"I am responsible for my own happiness!" Yay!
