The practice of attunement, which I define as tuning into a specific frequency, has been coming into my conscious awareness over time... Ask and It is Given, by Esther and Jerry Hicks... seed planted... Frequency, by Penney Peirce... another seed planted... I could go on (those two books I consider pivotal).
It wasn't until more recently, that I decided to try tuning into anything and everything, systematically! Emotions, objects, animals, plants, places, moments in time, etc., and starting to catalog my interpretations of each frequency, creating my own dictionary of sorts. [Here are a few past blogposts where I describe this practice in various ways and provide a few different processes to do so: "The Vibration of Beauty", and "A Healing Balm for Heartbreak".]
As a result of this practice, I notice that I have a greater awareness of myself in relation to other frequencies... For those of you who are natural empaths, this is very useful in 'defining' your space. Because sometimes it is hard for you to know your own energetic set-point separate of anyone else's, connecting with yourself in a neutral space (e.g. meditation) every day for awhile, is a good way to start to know what your energy field feels like by yourself, consciously.
As your conscious awareness to various frequencies (as well as your own) increases, so does the detachment to those frequencies. And as you know, detachment, no matter how small, can provide that much needed 'space' to then shift your frequency more quickly, as the Observer.
When you can be aware of energy emeshment or energy matching as the Observer, you can become a conscious energy setter! Maybe you want to vibrate at your own frequency in a given moment. Maybe you want to match who you are with? Maybe you want to vibrate at Joy, Love, or Peace, or all three?...
It is really is up to you in each given moment! <3
